Based on the idea trying to provide comprehensive solutions for the photovoltaic industry, GC also supply silicone membrane for the solar module production, and it is mainly used on photovoltaic module laminator, to function for sealing and cushioning.
Laminator silicone rubber sheet is one of the important accessories for solar module laminator, and its quality is related to the quality of the module products. Currently, there are three main types of rubber used for solar laminator in the market. One is rubber sheet, which is mainly composed of ethylene propylene diene monomer rubber(EPDM). The other is silicone rubber membrane. The third type is composite rubber plate, which combines the advantages of rubber plate and silicone sheeting. GC mainly supply the latter two types of rubber sheet.
The first type is 3000 cycles silicone rubber membrane, if it’s used on double-chamber PV laminator, it also can be used as 6000 cycles silicone membrane. It consists of two silicone rubber layer and one fabric core layer, and generally the color for both two side is gray. It’s characteristics are following:
Acid resistance
Media resistance
Good dimensional stability
High tear and tensile strength
High temperature resistance (220 ℃)

As the picture shows, the structrue of composite rubber plate from GC consists of 4 layers. The fluororubbber layer makes it has better properties. Usually, it’s used as 6000 cycles silicone membrane or 12000 cycles silicone membrane, depending on it’s applied on which kind of specific solar laminator. Generally, the color of both side is one black side and the other is gray (Also both two black surface is also available). The main advantages are following:
