GC leather belts are developed based on the processing technology of PA foil core belt, with many significant mechanical & chemical properties, and has won the recognition from customers of many industries all over the world. GC provide different types of Leather nylon sandwich belting for many applications. These belts are made of high density Chrome Leather with the finest quality.
With similar structure as polyester power transmission belt, GC’s double side leather flat drive belt consists of 3 layers, covered with Chrome leather for both pulley side (bottom side/driving side) and the opposite side (top side/conveying side), and the core traction layer is PA (Polyamide ) coil. And also the surface structure for both sides are leather structure in light gray color. The Key feature is that both the two sides of double side leather flat drive belting can be used as driving side. Generally, the thickness of this belt from GC is 4mm.
Based on the structure of Nylon cored power transmission belts, GC’s single side leather flat drive belt consists of 4 layers. For pulley side (bottom side/driving side), it’s covered with Chrome leather in light gray color; While for the opposite side (top side/conveying side), it’s covered with Acrylonitrile-Butadiene-Rubber (NBR) in green color. And for tension member, it consists of one nylon sheet core and one layer of nylon fabric. The same as double side leather drive belting, the thickness of single side from GC is also 4mm.
Due to the combination of the advantages of Chrome leather and Polyamide, leather covered belt nearly satisfy all the requirements for top-quality flat transmission belts, and has wide range of applications in textile machinery, conveyor equipment, packaging machinery, paper machinery ( leather belt is also offered where the desire is to preserve the machine's aesthetic antiquity and/or machines free of tension adjustment, and where applications exposed to oil, grease or other liquids ) etc. They mainly show bellowing characteristics:

Chrome leather means Chrome Tanned Leather, and it is distinguished from vegetable tanning. The process of treating the animal hide is called tanning, to make the hide become leather, and it is a more laborious and time-saving process. The result of tanning is getting more supple, resilient leather with better performance in resistance to oil, water, stains and heat.
