GC offers various types of power transmission belt for tangential drive system. These belts are divided into 2 groups: Nylon core tangential belts (Polyamide power drive belting) and PET core tangential belts (Polyester power drive belting).
They are equipped with tension members made of polyamide or polyester, and guarantee trouble-free processes in the production processes. Tangential drive is a form of flat belt drive, which is a multi-point drive with dozens to hundreds of passive wheels (spindles) driven by one driving wheel. Many passive wheels are on the same plane and require the same direction of rotation. Therefore, it is not driven by a large wrap angle, but by a nearly tangent way. This transmission system has been widely used in textile machinery, with three different transmission system: Sectional tangential belt drives, Tangential belt drives with concave/convex drive geometry, and Conventional tangential belt drives such as twisters, texturing machines, ring spinning frames, double twisters or cover spinning frames
For different types of tangential drive belt, there is corresponding connection method. The common solution is finger joint for TC tangential belt and skive joint for PA tangential belt.
