Various types of silicone form different microporous structures due to their different manufacturing methods. The chemical composition and physical structure of silicone determine that it has many characteristics that other similar materials cannot replace: high adsorption performance, good thermal stability, stable chemical properties, high mechanical strength, etc. It is used as a desiccant, humidity regulator, deodorant, etc. in households; Industrial use as oil and hydrocarbon decolorizing agent, catalyst carrier, pressure swing adsorbent, etc; Fine chemical separation and purification agents, beer stabilizers, coating thickeners, toothpaste friction agents, matting agents, etc.

Organic silicone is a type of organic silicon compound, which refers to a compound containing Si-C bonds and at least one organic group directly connected to silicon atoms. Traditionally, compounds that connect organic groups to silicon atoms through oxygen, sulfur, nitrogen, etc. are also considered organic silicon compounds. Among them, polysiloxanes composed of silicon oxygen bonds (Si O-Si -) as the backbone are the most numerous, deeply studied, and widely used category of organic silicon compounds, accounting for over 90% of the total dosage.

Silicone rubber is composed of different fillers such as long-chain polysiloxane and fumed silica, which can be converted into silicone elastomers through curing.
